I have been gripped by Ted Dekker novels before, but this one had my eyes wide open in constant expectance to the very end. My heart sang for Toma when he gave in to his love and turned his life over to saving Lucine from the enemy that would steal her eternal soul. No other storyteller tells tales of such all encompassing love, celebrating the light and all that is good.
